Educational Improvement Tax Credit
A Pennsylvania-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Equi-librium is pleased to offer innovative educational programs to public school students in our region. Our Ride, Learn and Grow initiative is an approved EITC program.
What is EITC? Tax credits are available eligible businesses contributing to an Educational Improvement Organization, like Equi-librium.
According to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s website, credits may be applied against the tax liability of a business for the tax year in which the contribution was made. Tax credits are equal to 75 percent of a company’s contribution up to a maximum of $750,000 per taxable year, and can be increased to 90 percent of the contribution, if business agrees to provide same amount for two consecutive tax years.
Ride, Learn & Grow
Ride, Learn, and Grow is an innovative educational program within Equine-Assisted Learning which engages students in a succession of creative activities and interactive exercises with horses that teach positive life skills, build confidence, and teach empathy and self-control. The curriculum supports classroom standards and offers each student the opportunity for academic and personal growth. Tailored to each age group, Ride, Learn, and Grow activities help students learn and practice language, science, and math skills which enhance Common Core Standards. Equi-librium’s Ride, Learn, and Grow program can be adapted to 8-week sessions on the premises, field trips, and school visits.
Throughout the 2022-2023, Equi-librium has been able to reach nearly 1,000 public school students from Bethlehem Area School District, Easton Area School District, Palisades School District, Saucon Valley School District, and Nazareth Area School District.
